Our Biggest Bucket
One of our recent projects was what we refer to as "Our Biggest Bucket", a 1,100-gallon water tank that will be used as an old-fashioned water tower at the Littleton Historical Museum in Littleton, CO. The tank was designed off a water tank in the background of a photograph that dates from the late 1800's. It was made of unfinished cedar and has a plastic tank inside, with a lid on top to shield the tank from the sun. The Littleton Historical Museum is currently building a tower that the water tank will rest on.

Refurbished Barrels for Plimoth Plantation(click)
Another of our recent projects was the refurbishing of thirteen used whisky barrels for Plimoth Plantation in Plymouth, MA. We had recently received a one-time shipment of twenty-four whiskey barrels and coincidentally received a call from the Plimoth Plantation requesting thirteen of them for their Seventeen Century Museum. The refurbishing process was not as easy as it may seem. In addition to air-drying each barrel, we had to grind out the inside blackening, add silicone to all the joints, sand and wax each barrel, and create a new stopper for each barrel as the old stoppers would no longer fit the old bungholes after they had dried. We only have seven more barrels on hand, so call us at (308) 364-2528 if you would also like to purchase a refurbished barrel.
