Basic Wooden Washboard
This is our most popular wooden washboard. It is slightly modified from one found at the Smithsonian Institute. This washboard is perfect for the laundress doing Civil War reenactments or demonstrations in museums as well as a beautiful addition to the country kitchen or laundry room. The end pieces extend into two "legs" to keep the board just above the water surface in a washtub. Sturdily but simply built, this washboard is given a natural walnut finish. A beautiful piece! Dimensions: 16 3/4" x 12 5/8".
